Worlds Trip Glasgow 2023

The band had a fantastic couple of weeks in Scotland, culminating in 9th placing at the World Pipe Band Championships, including 7th overall in piping. This equals the Tu’s best ever result at the Worlds. The band were also the second highest placed overseas band (outside of the UK and Ireland).

The performances at the Worlds are the result of a tremendous amount of hard work over recent years, and a determination from the band leadership team to return and play to the best of the band’s ability at the Worlds. There were also 14 members competing in Grade 1 at the Worlds for the first time, and they all performed superbly. We are very proud of them all.

Congratulations to our good friends at Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band on being crowned World Champions for the first time, a fantastic and thoroughly deserved result.

We are indebted to our wonderful friends, families and supporters for their continued and uncompromising support. The band would not be able to do it without you all – thank you so much.

The band will now have a short break before beginning preparations for Square Day and the 2024 NZ Championships in Auckland in March
